Praxis Builders LLC is a licensed General Contractor based in Seattle, WA specializing in custom residential and commercial projects. Founded in 2016 by Peter Ward, Praxis began with the goal of synthesizing his background in certified passive house building with years of custom carpentry experience in Seattle’s high-end building community. Our team now brings decades of experience managing complex architectural projects through close collaboration with our architects, trade partners, consultants and clients. We offer complete construction services from preconstruction consulting and budgeting through the building and maintenance phases of our projects.

Our company’s ethos is in our name “Praxis”, which is the process by which a theory, lesson, or skill is enacted, embodied or realized. In our experience, praxis is ongoing throughout the many stages of the building process. The built environment offers a never ending study in how ideas transform resources into the spaces we inhabit. Through careful communication, organization, and project detailing, we work to ensure that, through precise and careful execution, our projects become long lasting and beautiful spaces for our clients.

Praxis Builders holds two CPHB (Certified Passive House Builder) certifications through PHIUS.
